LOCAL FOOD

Provence is rightly famous for its produce and restaurants. Every village has a local market day each week where you'll find artisan; cheese, sausages, herbs, preserves, pates, olives, honey, soaps and other delicacies along with fruit and vegetables in season. 

These markets are found at some of the prettiest local villages:

Saturday : The largest in Apt

Walk to the delightful honey farm next door. The bees feed on the flowers from the Mas and produce 10 different varieties of honey including a lavender honey.

In truffle season (Autumn/ Winter) for €75 per hour a man and his truffle hunting dog will guide you around the estate. You'll receive a gift of one freshly picked truffle to garnish your dinner!

Chocolate making lessons for adults and for children at an artisan chocolate maker, 1 hr drive, including a wine and chocolate pairing workshop for 45 minutes.
